Work Location:

  • Thomson Plaza (Other potential locations as required by project needs.)

Work Days:

  • Tuesday to Saturday, 9.30am-7pm
  • Must be comfortable working 4 weekdays and 1 weekend

Job Responsibilities:

1. Social Media Content Creation

  • Conceptualise and design visually engaging content for various social media platforms (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn).
  • Stay informed on current social media design trends and incorporate relevant elements to enhance engagement.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to schedule and publish content according to campaign calendars.

2. Marketing Campaign Design

  • Develop visual assets for both digital and print campaigns, including banners, email newsletters, and promotional materials.
  • Participate in an iterative design process—create concepts, gather feedback, and refine designs until final approval.

3. Animating & Mascot Design

  • Conceptualise and create animations or motion graphics featuring the company mascot for use in social media, marketing materials, and brand campaigns.
  • Develop and refine the company mascot’s design to align with brand guidelines.

4. Photo and Video Shoots

  • Assist in the planning and execution of photo and video shoots, ensuring alignment with design vision and marketing objectives.
  • Work closely with photographers, videographers, and the creative team to produce high-quality visual content.
  • Provide support in the post-production process (e.g. editing images, selecting footage).

5. Brand Consistency and Growth

  • Maintain brand identity and quality standards across all creative outputs.
  • Propose fresh, innovative ideas that enhance the company’s visual presence and overall brand appeal.

6. Collaboration and Communication

  • Work closely with marketing and other cross-functional teams to understand project objectives and produce designs that meet campaign goals.
  • Incorporate feedback from stakeholders promptly and professionally.

7. Continuous Improvement

  • Keep abreast of design software updates and industry best practices
  • Recommend process improvements to streamline workflows and enhance the team’s creative output.

8. Other Ad Hoc Duties as Assigned

  • Assist with general marketing or design tasks as needed.
  • Provide design support for event-related projects (e.g. backdrops, brochures, digital visuals).

Job Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and design best practices.
  • Proficiency in basic photography and videography (including set-up, shooting, and simple editing).
  • Attention to detail, with a commitment to producing high-quality, error-free work.
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills—comfortable receiving and implementing feedback.
  • Ability to work efficiently under deadlines without compromising design quality.
  • A genuine interest in learning and consistently refining design techniques.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Experience in basic animation or motion graphics tools (e.g. After Effects) is highly valued.
  • Demonstrable portfolio showcasing social media graphics, marketing campaigns, animation/motion graphics, or related creative work.
  • Understanding of design principles (colour theory, typography, layout) and ability to apply them effectively.
  • Prior exposure to the education industry or curriculum-based projects is a plus (but not mandatory).
