Green Project Manager

Job Description & Requirements

  • Ensure proper planning and timely execution of Goltens Green project(s).
  • Efficient and effective implementation of project initiative(s):installation, training, system evaluation and improvements.
  • Collaborate with various stake holders such as, Chief Engineers, Ship Managers, Makers and Class Directors in project planning, implementation, and execution phases.
  • Provide expertise and guidance in BWTS/scrubber/EEXI/ ESD/Decarbonisation technology and regulatory impact.
  • Provide viable solutions and corrective actions required to address issues encountered with the implementation of a new technology which require a higher level of expertise in the specific field.
  • Define detailed specifications for work that needs to be performed by 3rd party vendors and clear criteria for QC checks.
  • Manage 3rd party vendors for the retrofit engineering of exhaust gas scrubbers.
  • Evaluate Structural Analysis, Loading Calculations, pressure drop/friction loss calculation and drawings.
  • Respond to Classification comment to expedite design approval.
  • To study scope of work, overall project schedule, basic/detail design data, client specifications, drawings and plot plan.
  • Efficient in controlling engineering firms to produce quality work for the retrofit projects.
  • Provide the due diligence in investigating and assessing exhaust gas treatment BWTS, EEXI, ESD, Decarbonisation technology solutions.
  • Participate in the 3d scanning, ballast sampling, supervision of installation and commissioning review upon project completion.
  • Provide input to annual planning and budgeting process for Goltens Green projects, as applicable.
  • Manage the budget related to Goltens Green project(s). This includes periodic reviews with Energy and Class Directors to flag issues and situations that may impact the overall budget.
  • Must always give priority to safety and health for yourself as well as your co-worker/peer and follow strictly the company’s environment, health and safety policy.
  • To meet EHS requirement for all concerned and interested parties.
