Greeter
POSITION SUMMARY:
As the first point of contact, the Greeter at the PA CareerLink® Center plays an integral role in creating a positive and supportive experience for all participants and visitors. This position is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service by welcoming individuals as they arrive, assisting with the Digital Intake process, directing them to the appropriate services, and providing general information about available PA CareerLink® resources. The Greeter ensures smooth customer flow, maintains an organized reception area, and supports the overall customer experience by answering basic inquiries and referring participants to the appropriate department and/or staff member. This position will work directly with the Director of Customer Experience at the PA CareerLink® Centers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greets all customers who enter the Center in a positive and inviting manner that encourages the customer to engage in Center services.
- Asks questions to determine if the customer is new to the Center or a returning customer.
- Escorts first-time customers to the Career Resource Center to register for PA CareerLink® services as part of digital intake process.
- Interacts with participants via all available modes of communication (ie., telephone, in person, text, etc) to provide detailed information about services offered at the Philadelphia PA CareerLink® Center.
- Support with facilitation and completion of Digital Intake for new and returning customers
- Provides responses to questions and requests from clients, personnel, and external parties, ensuring concerns are appropriately addressed.
- Understand the services and opportunities available at PA CareerLink Northwest® and effectively connect customers with the services needed.
- Schedule customers with unemployment compensation issues for meetings with UC representative.
- Immediately alert leadership of concerns or emergencies at the center
- Responsible for daily submission of Metal Detector Security Checklist
- Responsible for ensuring all resources are available to participants physically and notifies Site Administrator, IT, and System Wide Services when there are issues with tv monitors.
- Schedule participant Universal appointment and provide information on the next steps.
- Supports with managing foot traffic during special events, including orientations, meetings, and employer recruitment sessions.
- Operates standard office equipment, including photocopiers, scanners, fax machines, voicemail systems, lobby television, monitors and computers.
- Perform duties as assigned
- Attend meetings as required; and
- Other tasks as applicable.
