Hispasat, as part of the SpaceRISE consortium, is responsible for the technical implementation and ensuring the success of the IRIS² project, leveraging its extensive experience in satellite communications. This collaboration is essential to provide secure and reliable high-performance communication solutions to the European Union and its member states.
To be part of this project, we are looking for Ground Technical Lead Manager. The responsibilities of the position are as follows:
Responsibilities- Lead technical and systems-engineering matters across the IRIS² Ground Segment.
- Coordinate systems-engineering activities with customers, consortium partners and subcontractors.
- Lead technical coordination with partners, subcontractors and customers for deliverables, actions, meetings and formal reviews.
- Lead the production, consolidation and delivery of technical documentation and engineering outputs.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, industry standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Manage technical timelines, budgets, resources and priorities in coordination with programme management.
- Conduct technical risk assessments, define mitigation actions and follow their implementation.
- Coordinate requirements, interfaces, architecture, integration and validation activities across Ground Segment domains.
- Be accountable for the quality and timely delivery of the assigned technical outputs.
- Master's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- More than 10 years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in large institutional or commercial programmes.
- Proven experience managing technical teams in complex engineering projects.
- Strong experience in Ground Segment hardware and software development and integration.
- Deep end-to-end knowledge of satellite Ground Segment engineering.
- Knowledge of satellite Ground Segment operations and network management.
- Experience with systems-engineering and requirements-management methodologies and tools.
- Strong presentation, communication, coordination and stakeholder-management skills.
- Nationality of an EU Member State and willingness to undergo an EU Secret clearance process.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken; any other European language is considered an asset.
