Groundskeeper

Salary Range: $12.85 - $20.88

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for maintaining the appearance, safety, and functionality of all grounds, landscaped areas, facilities, and outdoor spaces owned and operated by the Pueblo.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Mow, edge, trim, and maintain lawns, landscaped areas, rights-of-way, and other grounds to established standards;
2. Remove weeds, litter, debris, leaves, and other materials from grounds, walkways, parking lots, and public areas;
3. Maintains landscaping for Pueblo grounds;
4. Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment, including mowers, weed trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, tractors, and other power equipment;
5. Administers chemicals in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions;
6. Maintain sidewalks, parking lots, fences, signs, and outdoor facilities to ensure a safe and attractive environment;
7. Assists other Pueblo Maintenance divisions as needed;
8. Respond to emergency maintenance situations, including storm cleanup, flooding, fallen trees, and other hazards;
9. Other related duties as required and assigned.
