Group Accountant (6 Months Contract)

Our client, a Singapore state-owned entity (SOE) within the manufacturing industry, is currently seeking a Group Accountant (6-Month Contract) to join their team.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Group Accountant will be responsible for group consolidation and financial reporting across 50 entities within the group. The incumbent will oversee the consolidation process, ensure the accuracy and integrity of consolidated financial statements, and support month-end and year-end closing activities in accordance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements.

Successful candidates can look forward to gaining exposure to group-level financial reporting within a well-established organization.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Accountancy within a Reputable University
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with hands-on experience in group consolidation
• Proven experience managing consolidation across multiple entities, ideally within a sizeable corporate group.
• Familiarity with intercompany reconciliations, elimination of intercompany balances and transactions, and consolidation adjustments.
• Good knowledge of IFRS/SFRS(I) and relevant financial reporting requirements.
• Experience in month-end and year-end closing, financial statement preparation, and liaising with external auditors.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and consolidation tools will be an added advantage.
• Meticulous, analytical, and able to manage multiple reporting requirements while meeting tight deadlines.
