Job Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Group Accountant to support our Group Finance team during a six-month maternity cover. Your main focus will be to keep the Group’s month-end close, consolidated reporting and key finance deliverables running accurately and on time. You will work closely with finance team members across our subsidiaries in a collaborative and lean-team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the Group’s month-end close, follow up on reporting schedules and resolve consolidation or reporting discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare accurate monthly and quarterly consolidated financial and management reports, including variance analysis and commentary for management and shareholders.
  • Work with subsidiary finance teams on reporting submissions, intercompany reconciliations and consolidation adjustments.
  • Support the annual budgeting process, including operating expenditure and capital expenditure submissions from entities and business divisions.
  • Assist with annual Group audit requirements, including schedules, auditor requests and resolution of accounting or reporting queries.
  • Support cash-flow projections, selected corporate finance activities and the maintenance of appropriate financial controls.
  • Contribute to practical improvements in reporting processes, ERP systems and approved digital or AI-enabled tools where time and priorities permit.

Required competencies and certifications

  • Degree in Accountancy, Business with Accounting focus or a related discipline with a strong accounting foundation.
  • At least three years of relevant experience in external audit and/or commercial accounting, with demonstrable hands-on group consolidation exposure.
  • Sound working knowledge of IFRS and experience preparing or supporting multi-entity financial and management reports.
  • Strong Excel and AI skills, good attention to detail and the ability to work independently against reporting deadlines.
  • Clear communication skills and a practical, collaborative approach when working with different finance teams.
  • A recognised professional qualification (CA, CPA or ACCA), or progress towards one, is an advantage but not essential.

This is a six-month fixed-term maternity cover role based in Singapore. Candidates who can take ownership of core reporting work with minimal handholding are especially welcome.
