About the Role

EIG is seeking an experienced finance leader to oversee financial strategy, liquidity management, reporting, funding processes and financial controls across its businesses and projects. The CFO will report directly to the CEO and have access to the Board on material financial matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting and capital allocation.
• Oversee cash flow, working capital, payment planning and foreign currency exposure.
• Coordinate debt, equity and structured-finance processes.
• Manage Group financial reporting, reconciliations and financial risk analysis.
• Oversee project and grant finance, contract economics and fund allocation.
• Strengthen financial controls, accountability and the finance team.
• Support funding opportunities and provide financial guidance to the CEO and Board.

Requirements

• Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
• Completed professional accounting qualification such as ICAN, ACCA or equivalent, with verifiable membership/good standing.
• At least 10 years of progressive finance experience, including 4 years leading a finance function, project-finance portfolio or multi-entity finance team.
• Demonstrated experience in cash-flow management, financial reporting, budgeting, controls and commercial analysis.
• Direct experience preparing or executing financing transactions, including financial modelling and lender/investor due diligence.
• Strong spreadsheet modelling and accounting systems skills.
• Experience in at least two of these areas is an advantage: development consulting, donor-funded programmes, renewable energy, infrastructure, asset finance or multi-company businesses.
• A relevant master's degree is an advantage but not mandatory.
