Group Chief Financial Officer
Role Overview
We are seeking a commercially driven Group CFO to partner closely with the CEO in the Group's next phase of growth, including IPO preparation, M&A, regional expansion, funding and strengthening of financial governance.
This is not a pure accounting or reporting role. The CFO must be capable of providing strategic financial advice while remaining sufficiently hands-on to oversee the Group's finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Group financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management.
- Act as key financial adviser to the CEO and Board.
- Lead IPO/listing readiness and coordinate with sponsors, auditors, lawyers and other advisers.
- Manage banking relationships, funding facilities and capital structure.
- Lead financial evaluation, due diligence and structuring for M&A opportunities.
- Strengthen financial controls, governance and management reporting.
- Monitor business-unit and project profitability, WIP, billing, variation orders and working capital.
- Oversee Group consolidation, audit, tax and statutory reporting.
- Improve finance systems, dashboards and financial processes.
- Build and lead a strong Group Finance team.
Requirements
- CA / ACCA / CPA / ICAEW or equivalent.
- Approximately 15+ years' finance experience, including senior leadership experience as CFO, Finance Director, Group Financial Controller or similar.
- Experience managing a multi-entity and preferably multi-country group.
- Strong commercial, cash-flow and corporate finance capabilities.
- Experience in project-based industries such aslogistics, engineering, construction, industrial services or manufacturing preferred.
- IPO, listed-company or pre-IPO experience strongly preferred.
- M&A and banking/fundraising experience highly advantageous.
- Comfortable working directly with an entrepreneurial CEO in a fast-growing environment.
- Hands-on, analytical and commercially minded.
