Group Facilitator - CAC Social Support Groups

Posted
Discussion

The Social Support Group Facilitator works across both Active Living Centres and leads groups and community outings for older people taking part in Jewish Care's social support group program. This is a group leadership role. The Facilitator is the person in charge of the session — they run the group, hold the room, set the tone, and direct the activities assistants, transport officers and volunteers working alongside them.

The Facilitator delivers the program designed by the Program Lead, adapting it on the day to the people in front of them. They are accountable for the experience and safety of participants for the duration of each session, whether at a venue or off site.

The Facilitator's focus sits wholly with the group — the session, the people in it, and the staff and volunteers delivering it alongside them.
