Group Finance Manager
Description
Our client is a deep tech holding group operating across multiple geographies with a portfolio of companies spanning AI infrastructure, shared services, and a strong technology pipeline. They are building a group level finance function from scratch and need the right person to architect and lead it.
This is a foundational role. The work you do in the first 18 months sets the structure for fundraising, M&A, and long term group performance.
Responsibilities
- Group financial visibility: Build and own a centralised finance function that gives holding level leadership a clear picture across all entities. Design embedded reporting structures that work with independently operating founders, not against them.
- Cash flow forecasting: Build and own group level cash flow forecasting capability across entities.
- Cost allocation: Design and implement activity based cost allocation across shared services so that group costs are attributed properly across entities.
- M&A and exit readiness: Support leadership on trade sale positioning, exit strategy for portfolio companies, and long term IPO readiness for the group.
- Tax planning: Lead group level tax planning. Efficient, compliant, and forward thinking.
- Board reporting: Build a reporting structure that goes all the way to board level. Quarterly performance, financial governance, fundraising visibility.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience building or leading a group finance function across multiple entities, not just working within one.
- Direct experience structuring debt facilities and managing banking relationships independently.
- Involvement in at least one M&A transaction in a meaningful capacity, not post acquisition administration.
- Experience designing intercompany cost allocation structures.
- Background in high growth or entrepreneurial environments where you have operated without a full playbook.
- CFO or group finance lead level experience minimum.
