Group Finance Manager
Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Group Finance Manager to oversee finance operations, statutory reporting, audit coordination, and group consolidation across multiple countries.
This role is ideal for someone with strong knowledge of Singapore accounting standards, audit requirements, tax compliance, and experience handling multi-country consolidation reports across markets such as Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Vietnam, US, and Malaysia.
The Group Finance Manager will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, smooth audits, strong internal controls, and timely management reporting for a fast-growing international kids technology company.
We are looking for a candidate with audit experience and a background in FMCG. Preference will be given to candidates with hands-on experience in product distribution, online sales transactions, and subscription-based business models.
Key Responsibilities
1. Singapore Finance, Audit & Compliance
Manage the team to complete the full sets of accounts for the Singapore entity.
Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, statutory filing, GST, corporate tax, and audit requirements.
Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial firms, and government authorities.
Prepare audit schedules, supporting documents, and management responses for annual audits.
Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
2. Group Consolidation & Reporting
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidation reports.
Consolidate financial results from overseas entities, including:
Japan
Korea
Hong Kong
Vietnam
United States
Malaysia
Review intercompany transactions, balances, eliminations, and reconciliation.
Ensure consistency in accounting treatment across different entities.
Prepare group-level management reports, variance analysis, and financial commentary.
3. Financial Planning & Analysis
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
Analyze revenue, margin, operating expenses, inventory, subscription income, and country-level performance.
Work with country teams to track financial performance against budget.
Provide insights to management for decision-making.
4. Internal Control & Process Improvement
Strengthen finance SOPs, approval processes, and internal controls.
Improve reporting timelines and accuracy across regional finance teams.
Standardize finance templates, reporting formats, and closing procedures across all entities.
Support ERP/accounting system improvements and automation where needed.
5. Regional Finance Coordination
Work closely with local finance/accounting teams in Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Vietnam, US, and Malaysia.
Follow up on monthly closing, tax filing, audit requirements, and financial reporting deadlines.
Ensure all entities submit accurate and timely reports to HQ.
Support management on ad-hoc finance projects, investor reporting, due diligence, and expansion plans.
