Group IT Director
Description
Your New Company
Your new organisation is an established global multi-site business looking to appoint an IT Director to shape its technology strategy and ensure future investment delivers meaningful commercial and operational improvements.
What you will do
You will take ownership of the organisation's technology roadmap, working closely with senior stakeholders to understand business priorities and translate these into a clear, practical programme of improvement.
A significant part of the role will involve developing the organisation's ERP and wider business systems, improving how information is connected and identifying where AI, automation and data can deliver measurable value. You will also explore how technology can improve the customer experience and support more effective ways of working across the business.
Alongside this, you will be responsible for ensuring the organisation has secure, resilient and scalable technology foundations. You will lead the technology team and external partners, establish appropriate governance and manage investment priorities, ensuring programmes deliver against agreed objectives.
This is an opportunity to influence how the business operates, combining strategic leadership with a practical approach to delivering change.
What we need
In order to succeed in this role, you will have a successful track record of developing and delivering technology strategies, alongside significant experience of ERP, business systems and technology transformation.
You will be commercially aware and comfortable working with senior stakeholders across different business functions. You will be able to challenge existing approaches, explain investment decisions clearly and bring people with you through change.
You will also have a strong understanding of how AI, automation and data can be applied to practical business challenges, supported by sound knowledge of cyber security, technology risk and business continuity.
Experience leading technology teams, managing external partners and taking responsibility for budgets and programme delivery will be essential, as will the ability to balance longer-term ambitions with improvements that can be delivered in the short term.
Benefits
You will have the opportunity to shape the organisation's technology direction, with meaningful ownership of the roadmap and investment priorities. Most excitingly, you will be able to see the direct impact of your decisions on how the business operates, supports its customers and develops its capabilities.
This role will be 3 days per week on site.
