About the role
We are seeking an experienced Group IT Systems Manager to provide IT Infrastructure support for all Property Systems within the CP Group's Office and associated Hotels across NZ. The Group IT Systems Manager will work closely with the group to ensure that support issues are resolved in a timely manner and to the affected-end user's satisfaction.
This role will manage any escalated issues within the group, having a specific focus on managing Property computer software systems and server infrastructure to ensure high levels of availability and security to support the business applications and continuity. The Group IT Systems Manager also participates in the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance are consistent with the group's standards, associated partners and any regulatory or industry requirements.
Reporting to the COO, this hands-on leadership role is ideal for a proactive IT professional who thrives in complex multi-site environments and is passionate about delivering reliable, secure, and business-focused technology solutions.
Key responsibilities
Administer and Configure Windows Server and Windows Desktop Operating Systems for the Office and associated hotels
Maintenance of Windows operating environments and managing the Windows Servers and Workstations operating systems, including reviewing system logs, anti-virus definitions, installation of security patches, management of data and backups and scheduled system restarts/reboots
Act as a go-between point-of-contact for the Hotels IT interactions with vendors, providers, third-parties and any associated partners
Compile and complete monthly checklists, reports and communication to hotels and the Chief Operating Officer
Maintain and manage complex onsite physical IT infrastructure, including Server, Desktop and networking hardware and software, server rooms, structured cabling, data, power, cooling and other third-party technologies
Document all site support information, including data backups, photos/images, logical and physical system topologies, vendors/support contacts and licensing information
Anticipate, mitigate, identify, respond to and resolve problems affecting property systems performance, efficiency and availability in order to ensure business continuity
Develop, implement, document and maintain CP Group's IT policies, procedures and associated training plans for property systems management
Log work effort into the group's ticketing tool(s)
Liaise closely with any required parties to provide awareness of Hotel IT System Operations, changes, projects and other related information
About you
Diploma (Tertiary) or a higher degree in Information Technology
Minimum 4 years' IT experience in Systems Engineering
Strong experience with Windows environments, networking, server infrastructure, virtualisation, and large enterprise IT systems (ie. 2,000+ users).
An ability to understand and navigate complex stakeholder environments
Hospitality technology experience, including PMS and POS systems, will be highly regarded
Confident and articulate communication, negotiation, relationship and networking skills
Time management skills with the ability to multitask
Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
Flexible and able to embrace and respond effectively to change
