Group Manager- Data Security

Data in orgenizations is scattered across cloud apps, endpoints, email, and storage, and it moves faster than most organizations can track it. Knowing what's sensitive, where it lives, who can access it, and where it's at risk of leaking is one of the hardest problems in security today — and it only gets harder as data volumes and AI-driven data flows keep growing.

Check Point is building the platform that solves this problem at scale: a large-scale cloud service that classifies data, scores risk, and delivers the analytics our entire data security and data leakage prevention business depends on. It's a foundational piece of our strategy, and it sits at the intersection of complex algorithms, modern AI, and cloud engineering at scale.

We're looking for a Group Manager to own this platform end to end. You'll lead development teams, set the technical and product direction, and act as a true business owner — not just a delivery manager. This is a chance to shape a core capability that every data security offering at Check Point will build on.

What you'll do

• Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for the data classification and risk analytics platform, end to end

• Lead and grow development teams, building a strong bench of engineers and technical leaders

• Drive architecture and technical decisions for a massive-scale, multi-tenant cloud service, balancing performance, cost, and reliability

• Develop advanced classification, detection, and analytics models into production

• Act as the product owner for the platform: define what gets built and why, prioritize against business impact, and represent the platform's roadmap to stakeholders across the company
• Work with the leaders of Check Point's data security and data leakage prevention business lines to translate their needs into a platform strategy
• Build the operational rigor a critical, always-on service demands: reliability, security, scalability, and cost efficiency at scale
• Recruit, mentor, and develop managers and senior engineers; build a strong engineering culture across the group

• Proven experience as a group manager or senior engineering manager, leading managers or multiple teams (not just individual contributors)
• Track record of owning a large-scale, business-critical cloud service from architecture through production operations
• Strong technical depth in distributed systems and cloud engineering at scale; comfortable going deep with your teams on architecture and design
• Experience applying machine learning or AI in production systems — you don't need to be the one building the models, but you need to be fluent enough to lead teams that do
• Genuine product ownership instincts: you think about business impact and customer outcomes, not just delivery
• Experience working with data-heavy systems — classification, analytics, or similar large-scale data pipelines is a strong plus
• Excellent stakeholder management; comfortable representing a platform to business and product leaders across the company
• Strong people leadership: hiring, developing managers, and building high-performing engineering teams

Nice to have

• Background in data security, data loss prevention (DLP), or a related security domain
• Experience building platforms that serve multiple internal product lines (platform-as-a-service model)
• Familiarity with large-scale data classification or content-inspection systems
