This is a hands-on product design leadership role focused on solving complex problems across back-office experiences within a fast-moving SaaS environment.
You will lead a talented design team while remaining deeply involved in product vision, strategy, research, interaction design, and prototyping.
Working closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Data Science, you will shape experiences that create measurable value for customers and the business.
The role combines strategic thinking with detailed execution, requiring strong judgment in ambiguous and evolving environments.
You will establish lean design standards and processes that balance quality, speed, consistency, and team capability.
You will also help modernize the design practice by using AI as a creative and strategic accelerator throughout discovery and delivery.

Accountabilities:
- Hire, develop, coach, and mentor a high-performing product design team, establishing clear expectations and supporting individual and collective growth.
- Lead significant design initiatives from vision and strategy through execution, ensuring solutions address meaningful customer and business needs.
- Contribute to product strategy and roadmap development by bringing strong design perspectives, user insights, and data-driven recommendations.
- Establish lean design standards, processes, and practices that enable teams to move quickly without compromising quality or user experience.
- Remain hands-on across research, interface design, prototyping, user journeys, personas, UX measurement, and other key design artifacts.
- Use quantitative and qualitative insights to evaluate design effectiveness, identify opportunities, and measure product impact.
- Integrate AI-assisted design tools into everyday workflows, using generative exploration, rapid prototyping, and emerging technologies to accelerate high-quality outcomes.
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Data Science, and other cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive and inclusive user experiences.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization and effectively communicate design rationale, trade-offs, priorities, and recommendations.
- Support distributed teams through strong asynchronous communication, collaboration, and effective coordination across time zones.
- Drive accessibility and inclusive design practices, ensuring diverse user needs are considered throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Foster a healthy, collaborative, low-ego design culture built around experimentation, thoughtful decision-making, continuous learning, and measurable customer impact.
- 5+ years of product design experience within a SaaS, enterprise software, or similarly complex technology environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing a product design team of approximately 3–10 designers or leading multiple design groups.
- Strong hands-on capabilities across user research, interaction and interface design, prototyping, UX strategy, and design systems or processes.
- Proven ability to lead complex design projects from strategic vision through detailed execution and delivery.
- Experience producing high-quality design outcomes at scale and evaluating impact through both quantitative and qualitative methods.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted design tools such as Figma Make, Claude, Cursor, or comparable technologies, together with genuine curiosity about emerging AI-enabled design practices.
- Strong strategic thinking and the ability to connect detailed design decisions with broader product and business objectives.
- Excellent coaching and people-leadership skills, including the ability to provide direct, constructive feedback and create meaningful development opportunities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience working successfully with globally distributed teams and across multiple time zones, with strong asynchronous communication habits.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-changing environments while maintaining focus, design rigor, and delivery momentum.

- Competitive base salary with an estimated U.S. range of $185,300–$297,400 USD, depending on location, experience, skills, qualifications, and performance.
- Higher salary range of $198,200–$297,400 USD for eligible locations including CA, CT, DC, MD, MA, NJ, NY, VA, and WA.
