Group Senior Finance Manager

Posted Updated
Discussion

Group finance without the corporate nonsense.

It's a proper, hands-on group finance role for someone who likes getting into the detail, fixing things and making finance work better.

You'll report into the Group Finance Director and take ownership of the quality of financial reporting across the Group.

That means:
> Group monthly and annual reporting
> Leading the year-end audit and managing the external auditors
> Strengthening and implementing the controls framework
> Improving reporting and consolidation processes
> Supporting new systems and better ways of working
> Using technology, automation and AI to make finance more efficient
> Managing and developing a finance team
> Working across multiple entities within a growing group

We're looking for a qualified accountant who has spent a decent chunk of their career in group finance.

You don't need to be practice trained. You probably do need to have worked in a couple of group finance roles, managed people and been responsible for audit.
Ideally, you'll have experience in businesses around the £50m-£150m+ turnover mark, where there's enough complexity to be interesting but you're still expected to roll your sleeves up and get involved.

The biggest thing?

You need to be hands-on.

Someone who can spot where controls aren't strong enough, implement something better and bring people with them.

Someone who sees AI and automation as an opportunity rather than something to avoid.
And someone who wants a role where they can genuinely influence how a finance function operates.
