The primary purpose of this position is: As an Air Reserve Technician (ART), to serve as the Senior Support Staff Specialist at the group level organization. The Group Senior Support Staff Specialist advises, carries out, and monitors the commander/director's and organizational policies, programs, and standards applicable to the assigned force. Additionally, provides training to reservists in the accomplishment of the tasks set forth herein. The Group Senior Support Staff Specialist is the commander/director's key advocate andadvisor onreadiness, training, professional development, utilization of the force, operations tempo, standards,conduct,and quality of life. Performs a variety of duties that ensure the efficient functioning of force. Provide generalsupervisionof the assigned force. Monitors and ensures compliance of training and equipping force for deployment taskings. Actively leads in the organization's fitness program. Advises the senior rater on promotions and performance reports and assists/advises in theselectionand nomination of Chief/Senior Leader for positions of greater responsibility Evaluates the quality of leadership, management, and supervisory training. Visits, briefs,and sits onpanels for professional military education (PME) facilities.
