Growth & Marketing Operations Manager

About the Role

TurFresh is looking for a hands-on Growth & Marketing Operations Manager to improve marketing performance across multiple markets.

This role combines strategy, analytics, execution oversight and team coordination. You will connect paid media, SEO, local search, CRM, marketing automation, websites, lead handling, agencies and internal specialists into one accountable system.

You will work closely with John and the President/General Manager, who will provide strategic guidance and feedback. You will be expected to turn that direction into clear plans, disciplined execution and measurable results.

You should be analytical, commercially minded, organized, technically capable and comfortable moving between strategy and execution.

You should naturally ask:

What happened? Why did it happen? Was the work executed correctly? What should we do next?

What You Will Own

    • Marketing performance by market and channel

    • Weekly KPI reporting and executive communication

    • Lead volume, qualified leads, CPL, CAC, conversion and ROI

    • Paid-media agency performance

    • SEO, local SEO and Google Business Profile performance

    • Lead attribution, CRM and marketing automation

    • Website and landing-page conversion

    • Marketing priorities, projects and vendor deliverables

    • Coordination between Marketing, Sales and Operations

    • Marketing processes, SOPs and quality control

What You Will Do

    Performance & Analytics

Track performance across paid search, organic search, local search, email/SMS, referrals and other channels.

    Connect marketing activity to:

    Lead → Contact → Quote → Sale → Revenue

Investigate changes in lead volume, lead quality, cost, conversion, revenue and market performance. Determine whether problems come from strategy, execution, tracking, lead routing, follow-up, agencies or market conditions.

Translate data into clear recommendations, owners, action steps and success criteria.

Growth Management

Identify opportunities to increase profitable customer acquisition.

    Evaluate:

    • Market and channel performance

    • Budget allocation

    • Search and keyword opportunities

    • Landing pages

    • Local search

    • Lead reactivation

    • CRM and follow-up

    • New tests and growth initiatives

Work with John and the President/General Manager to prioritize opportunities and execute them effectively.

Hands-On Marketing Direction

Provide practical direction to agencies, vendors and internal specialists.

You should be able to review and improve:

    • Keywords and negative keywords

    • Landing pages and conversion paths

    • SEO and local-search execution

    • Google Business Profiles

    • CRM workflows and lead routing

    • Tracking and attribution

    • Website forms and calls

    • Marketing SOPs and quality-control processes

You do not need to perform every task daily, but you must understand the work well enough to direct it, evaluate it, teach it and step in when necessary.

Agency & Vendor Management

Set clear expectations for each agency or specialist, including:

    • Objective

    • Strategy

    • Required work

    • KPI and target

    • Deliverable

    • Deadline

    • Result

    • Corrective action

Challenge vague explanations and distinguish between poor strategy, weak execution, tracking issues, lead-quality problems and sales follow-up problems.

Marketing Operations

Create structure around the marketing department.

    Maintain:

    • Priorities and project ownership

    • Due dates and reporting

    • KPI dashboards

    • Campaign calendars

    • Vendor deliverables

    • SOPs and training materials

    • Quality-control checklists

    • Open issues and follow-up items

Eliminate, automate, delegate or simplify low-value work.

Sales & Marketing Alignment

Work with Sales to understand what happens after a lead is generated.

Use downstream results to evaluate targeting, messaging, qualification, routing, response time, follow-up and sales execution.

Marketing success is not simply generating inquiries. The goal is generating qualified opportunities that become profitable customers.

Team Coordination

    Work with specialists in:

    • Paid media

    • Google Business Profiles

    • Content

    • Email and SMS

Executive Partnership

Our owner and the President/General Manager are both marketers and will remain actively involved.

They will provide strategic guidance, feedback and context on priorities, positioning, messaging and customer experience.

You will be expected to present recommendations, accept feedback, revise plans when appropriate and own the day-to-day marketing operating system.
