GSE/FACILITIES SUPPORT, DVT
JOB PURPOSE:
Provide Maintenance support for aviation ground service equipment, fuel trucks, mechanical systems and facility support.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Repair, overhaul and perform troubleshooting, preventative and routine maintenance servicing of Line Service ground support equipment and machinery to ensure it is maintained in a safe and operational condition (including, but not limited to, tugs, GPU’s, tow bars, anti-icing cart and lav cart).
- Knowledge of all safety standards for working in and around aircraft and facilities.
- Responsible for his/her personal safety as well as the safety and care of all equipment and supplies assigned.
- Liaise with Phillips 66 as needed for audit inspection and other purposes.
- Proactively support the Line Service crew as a back-up team member as required by manpower and the needs of the business (fueling and towing of aircraft).
- Comply with all airport authority rules and regulations including AOA operations and airport security requirements.
- Train new Line Service employees how to properly inspect and safely operate all line service support equipment.
- Maintain high level of safety and customer service.
Essential duties and responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Keep records of all facility maintenance performed. Make recommendations to General Manager on mechanical systems scheduled services.
- Coordinated the use of contractors for facility repairs as needed.
- Inspect outside structures and systems such as lighting fixtures, pavement condition, security gates and fences, signs and utility services. Make recommendations to General Manager as necessary.
- Responsible for facility's safety compliance with OSHA regulations regarding mechanical systems.
- Maintain and control disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste in accordance with EPA rules and regulations.
- Perform periodic checks of all equipment and facilities and document findings.
