GTM Engineer

Open 15d

We are hiring a GTM Engineer to own top of funnel: the data and automation engine that finds the right people at the right moment and turns them into meetings.

Paires is an AI-first fundraising platform. We pair founders with the right investors from a large, engaged global investor network, then run the warm outreach that turns into meetings. It is a two-sided platform, live with paying clients, profitable and self-funded, built by a small, senior, flat team that ships fast.

The role

You own top of funnel and the engine behind it. Top of funnel means more here than outbound: the best deals reaching us at the right time, new investors hearing from us exactly when we have something valuable for them, partnerships that open doors on their own. We run at real scale, but volume is not the lever, relevancy is. Every touch is researched and worth the other person's time, suppression checks come before anything goes out, and the relationships we start get nurtured for the long run. You build the systems behind all of it: they find the right people, catch the right moment, and keep the engine running around the clock without the quality slipping. One person owns this at Paires. That person is you, with the best tools out there and the freedom to run creative plays across the board.

What you will own

  • The outreach engine.

  • The data behind it: ingest, dedup, and enrich many sources into one clean spine.

  • The targeting brain: systems that identify the right ICP and the right moment to reach out.

  • Data quality that moves the metric: domain matching, entity resolution, enrichment.

  • The health of the live engine: deliverability, suppression, and outcomes, meetings and replies, wired back into the data.

You are a fit if you

  • Have owned top of funnel somewhere and driven new meetings, whatever your title was.

  • Have worked one ICP deep and long, and fought hard sales cycles, not just easy ones. Depth beats touching many markets shallowly.

  • Know your numbers from memory: volume, reply rate, booked rate, and what you refused to send.

  • Write some real code. Scripts, APIs, n8n, Clay, and Claude Code with MCPs all count. Strong SQL or Python is a bonus here, not the bar.

What we offer

Fully remote and async. Your day overlaps with US Eastern time for a few hours - not full US hours. Meetings batch on Mondays and Thursdays, the rest is deep work. The best AI tooling, paid (Claude Code, Cursor, top models). You work alongside our GTM lead.

How to apply: hit apply, which takes you to our short application form. We read every application.

Name, Email, Resume

  • Drop a link or description to the thing you have built that you are most proud of (live product, repo, launch). If your best work is closed or confidential, say so and also link anything live you personally own. What exactly was YOUR contribution, and what is one decision you made in it that you would still defend today? Tell us who used it and what it did for them. written answer
  • How do AI tools actually fit into your daily workflow right now? What have you automated, what do you refuse to automate, and what is one thing you changed in your AI stack in the last six months - and why? written answer
  • Describe an outbound or growth system you built end to end - the sending engine, or the signal and routing system that decided who got touched and when. Whose funnel was it, your own company's or a client's? How many months did you work that same ICP, and what changed because of what replies taught you? Give us the numbers: volume, reply rate, booked rate, and one thing you refused to send. written answer
  • Tell us about the data spine behind an outreach engine you ran yourself: the sources, enrichment, dedup, where it lived, and how it decided who got touched. What was the ugliest data problem in it, what did it cost you in replies or deliverability before you caught it, and how did you fix it? written answer
