GTM Engineer

Summary

Builds and maintains the marketing automation stack, integrating platforms like Dynamics 365 and ZoomInfo via APIs and low-code AI agents to scale lead generation and pipeline analytics.

Role Summary

The GTM Engineer owns the architecture and health of Quisitive's marketing execution engine: the platforms, integrations, automation logic, and data models that turn GTM strategy into a repeatable, scalable flywheel. This role goes beyond configuring out-of-the-box marketing automation features - it requires connecting systems together via APIs, custom connectors, and webhook-based integrations; building custom workflows and automations (e.g., using Power Automate); and building and managing AI-driven agents that extend what the platforms can do natively. "Agentic workflows" here means creating agents using low-code tools like Copilot Studio, orchestrating workflows within ZoomInfo Marketing, and building other automations using Power Platform, Zapier, or similar solutions, rather than custom-coded, general-purpose AI development. This is a systems-thinking and integration-building role, not a data-engineering one: it does not require Python, SQL, or Clay-style scripting. What it does require is curiosity - the instinct to ask "why does this work this way" and "where will this break at 10x volume," and the technical range to actually go build the fix.

Key Responsibilities

Systems & Integrations

  • Own the marketing technology stack: Dynamics 365 Marketing, ClickDimensions (Click), ZoomInfo Marketing & GTM Studio, RingCentral, Power BI, workflow tools (Power Automate, Zapier), website apps, and other tools as adopted
  • Connect systems that don't natively talk to each other, using APIs, custom connectors, and webhook-based integrations to close integration gaps
  • Lead set-up and optimization of new platforms (e.g., the ZoomInfo Marketing & GTM Studio migration)
  • Identify and evaluate new tools and capabilities, with a bias toward what will hold up as volume and complexity increase

Automation & Agentic Workflow Design

  • Design and build end-to-end automation strategies to increase lead volume across the funnel, including trigger- and subscription-based workflows, using tools like Power Automate
  • Build AI agents using low-code tools such as Copilot Studio to handle tasks like personalization, enrichment, workflow decisioning, lead routing & automated BDR actions
  • Orchestrate marketing workflows within ZoomInfo Marketing, connecting them into the broader automation and data ecosystem
  • Build additional automations using Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps), Zapier, or similar solutions, choosing the right tool for each integration
  • Build reusable campaign and journey frameworks that reduce one-off, manual campaign work
  • Continuously question whether current automations will scale - proactively surface where a workflow is held together by manual patches rather than durable logic
  • Identify opportunities to leverage information, both internal and external to create additional leads and improve lead value to the sales organization

Scoring, Segmentation Strategy & Triggers

  • Own lead scoring model in Dynamics 365 Marketing, Click, and CRM - design and lifecycle-stage triggers
  • Design the segmentation strategy and model (persona, account-based, lifecycle), incorporating on-the-ground input from the Senior Marketing Operations Specialist
  • Build trigger logic for nurture progression, routing, and alerts
  • Partner with IT to modify CRM configurations supporting buyer-group segmenting and account/contact alerts

Pipeline Analytics & Attribution

  • Build and own pipeline analytics and reporting infrastructure
  • Own attribution tracking, modeling, and validation across marketing systems
  • Deliver performance insights and optimization recommendations to Campaign Leads

AI Enablement & Innovation

  • Identify and implement AI opportunities across workflows, personalization, scoring, and reporting
  • Build AI playbooks and best practices for the marketing team
  • Continuously improve automation maturity and operational efficiency

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years in marketing operations/RevOps with a focus on systems and automation architecture, not just execution
  • Hands-on experience building workflows/automations in Power Automate (or similar), including the use of custom connectors and webhook-based integrations to connect systems that don't natively talk to each other
  • Experience connecting systems via APIs, custom connectors, or webhooks (native or custom-built) - beyond just using pre-built, out-of-the-box integrations
  • Experience building AI agents using low-code tools such as Copilot Studio, and orchestrating automated workflows across platforms like ZoomInfo Marketing, Power Platform, Zapier, or similar solutions
  • Demonstrated experience designing - not just running - impactful B2B lead scoring, segmentation models, and trigger-based workflows
  • Strong systems-thinking mindset: comfortable questioning why a process works the way it does, and identifying where it will break at scale
  • Experience with CRM/marketing automation integrations and platform migrations

Preferred

  • Dynamics 365 Marketing (Customer Insights – Journeys), Dynamics 365 CRM
  • Power BI or similar reporting/BI tools
  • Account based marketing systems such as 6Sense or ZoomInfo Marketing
  • Experience leading a platform migration or stack consolidation
  • Familiarity with the broader Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio), plus Zapier or similar workflow automation tools

Not Required

  • Python, SQL, Clay, or general-purpose software development - this role is about systems integration, workflow/agent building, and architecture thinking, not data engineering

Success Metrics

  • Automation maturity (% of campaigns running on triggers/agents vs. manual builds)
  • Pipeline contribution from automated programs
  • Number and business impact of systems successfully integrated via API/workflow automation
  • Attribution accuracy and reporting reliability
  • Reduction in manual processes across the team
