GTM Operations Intern

Job Summary

NALEJ Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented GTM Operations Intern to manage and optimize the tools, processes, and operational workflows that support the Business Development team. This intern will serve as the operational backbone for the BD function — owning HubSpot CRM administration, pipeline reporting, and cross-team coordination across the four branch-focused BD Interns. This role is ideal for a business student with an interest in operations, revenue enablement, and defense technology.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day administration and data hygiene of HubSpot CRM, ensuring accurate pipeline records across all four BD intern verticals.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and pipeline views in HubSpot to provide real-time visibility to Corporate Operations and the CEO.
  • Manage GovTribe and SAM.gov account access, saved searches, and alert configurations for the BD team.
  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for opportunity logging, contact management, and follow-up cadence.
  • Coordinate weekly BD team syncs, prepare agendas, capture action items, and track follow-through.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to BD workflows and tooling.
  • Support onboarding of BD interns to tools and internal processes at program start.
  • Provide weekly operations and pipeline summary reports to Corporate Operations and the CEO.

Job Requirements / Skills

  • Currently enrolled in a Business, Operations Management, Information Systems, or related undergraduate/graduate program; George Mason University students preferred.
  • Demonstrated interest in revenue operations, CRM management, or go-to-market strategy.
  • Hands-on experience with HubSpot (or comparable CRM) strongly preferred; willingness to rapidly learn HubSpot required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with project management or collaboration tools a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and coordinate across a small, fast-moving team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting and SOP documentation.
  • Security clearance not required; willingness to pursue clearance upon potential FTE/PTE conversion preferred.

Key Tasks

  • Conduct a CRM audit within the first two weeks and establish baseline data hygiene standards.
  • Build a HubSpot pipeline dashboard segmented by branch vertical (USAF/Space Force, Army/SOCOM, Navy/Marines, DARPA/IC).
  • Configure and maintain GovTribe and SAM.gov saved searches and notification alerts for each BD focus area.
  • Draft and publish SOPs for opportunity entry, contact management, and pipeline stage progression.
  • Facilitate and document weekly BD team standup meetings.
  • Deliver bi-weekly GTM operations reports summarizing pipeline health, activity metrics, and open action items.

Learning Outcomes

1. Gain practical experience supporting go-to-market operations, revenue operations, and business development workflows within a defense technology company.

2. Develop working knowledge of CRM administration, pipeline data hygiene, opportunity tracking, and executive-facing reporting using HubSpot or comparable tools.

3. Learn how GovTribe, SAM.gov, and related market intelligence tools support federal business development and capture operations.

4. Build experience documenting standard operating procedures, coordinating cross-functional meetings, and translating operational activity into leadership-ready summaries.

5. Understand how disciplined process management, data quality, and reporting cadence improve organizational decision-making and growth execution.

Measures of Success

1. HubSpot pipeline records are accurate, current, and segmented by BD vertical for leadership visibility.

2. A usable CRM data hygiene baseline, dashboard structure, and reporting cadence are established within the first month of the internship.

3. Weekly BD syncs are organized, documented, and supported by clear action item tracking and follow-through.

4. SOPs for opportunity entry, contact management, pipeline stage progression, and follow-up cadence are documented and adopted by the BD intern team.

5. Bi-weekly GTM operations reports provide Corporate Operations and the CEO with concise insight into pipeline health, activity metrics, gaps, and recommended improvements.

6. The intern delivers a final GTM Operations handoff package that can be sustained by NALEJ after the internship ends.
