GTM Systems Engineer

The role

You'll be part of the Marketing Operations team. When the team runs into a GTM problem that software can solve, you should be able to understand the workflow and build a practical fix.

The role covers campaign setup, QA, internal tools, integrations, performance data, and new AI-assisted workflows. Each problem may need a different approach: a script, an integration, a small app, or simply a better process. While you will not be on the core Engineering team, you do need to be comfortable writing code and working directly with APIs, data, and production systems.

Prior marketing experience is not required. We care more about how quickly you can understand a new problem and build a sensible solution.

What you'll work on

Campaign automation: cut down the manual work in planning, launching, checking, optimizing, and reporting on campaigns.

GTM integrations: connect and pull data from LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, Salesforce, HubSpot, and other systems the team relies on.

Internal tools: build scripts, small apps, and data pipelines when existing tools fall short.

Data and reliability: figure out why numbers don't match or why tracking and workflows break, and fix the problem.

Operational judgment: automate the repetitive parts while leaving the real decisions with the marketer.

AI workflows: try LLMs, agents, and tool calling on everyday campaign work, and keep what works.

Product feedback: work with Product and Engineering when an internal workflow points to something that could be useful to customers.

What we're looking for

  • 1–3 years of experience in software engineering, data, applied AI, technical operations, or a similar technical role.
  • Strong programming fundamentals, ideally in Python or TypeScript.
  • Experience with APIs, databases, and structured data.
  • Comfort debugging systems you didn't build and working with messy or incomplete data.
  • The ability to take a loosely defined problem and turn it into something usable, without waiting for a detailed spec.
  • Good judgment about when a problem needs code and when an existing tool or a simpler process will do.
  • Clear communication with both technical and non-technical teammates.

Relevant experience may include:

  • Building with LLM APIs or using AI tools regularly in your work.
  • Paid advertising or campaign operations.
  • CRM or marketing automation tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot.

You don't need a marketing background, but you'll need to learn the domain quickly, including how marketers think about audiences and campaigns and what happens after a campaign launches.

Why this is interesting

A lot of marketing operations work falls between packaged software and manual judgment. A campaign manager may know exactly what needs to happen, but getting there still means moving data between systems, checking setup by hand, or repeating the same steps every week.

You'll see these problems up close and build the tools that remove them. Most of what you build will stay within Marketing Operations, but when a pattern keeps showing up, it can become important enough to shape the product.

That short feedback loop is the point of the role: find a real problem, build something useful, see whether it works, and improve it from there.
