Guest Activities Support Mngr.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Act as Manager on Duty in any Guest Activities business unit as needed.
Provide managerial support for the Guest Activities Division but not limited to (Atlantis Theatre, Club Crush, Library, Atlanteans and Atlantis Kids Club).
Responsible for assisting in programming experiences offered to guests in the Guest Activities Division (inclusive of research, sourcing, training and implementing).
Ensure that all operational challenges are resolved with timely completion.
Work closely with department managers and liaise with them on all new projects within the division.
Spearhead the planning, set-up and operation of holiday fairs and seasonal special events as well as assist with Atlantis Theater special events.
Working knowledge of all positions within the division.
Provide support with overseeing set-up of any special events, meetings, presentations or functions in assigned space.
Provide technical support for the division.
Research and source innovative ideas for the division.
Ensure that all cutting-edge programming is researched and sourced for the growth of division.
Provides guest service through positive interaction and responds to their needs for information and any complaints.
Assist with the design, development and implementation of new activities to continually drive positive customer feedback for guests.
Assist in the promotion of strong positive inter-departmental relations.
Assists with the facilitation of ongoing training and development of staff.
Provides convenient resources for coaching and training as needed.
Provide positive encouragement and constructive feedback with staff as required.
Keep a current record of all Recreation and Fair Programming Supplies to ensure an ample supply of products is on hand.
Assist with monitoring divisional waste and loss.
Assist with re-ordering of supplies as needed.
Assist with compilation of daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly reports and P&L information.
Assist in the development of marketing initiatives to continually drive attendance in-house e.g. Club Crush, Theatre, Library, Atlantis Kids Club and Atlanteans.
Assist Account Executive by using the existing relationships in the development of marketing initiatives to continually drive attendance out of house.
Perform other reasonable duties as requested by management.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Business, Hospitality Management or related field.
Seasoned professional with at least three years’ experience with recreation programming.
Proven successful track record in coaching and mentoring staff with successful results.
Proven ability to plan and organize special requests.
Proficient computer skills (PC and Mac platforms, Microsoft Office, Corel, Stratton Warren, Micros, ARTS)
Ability to adapt to continual change in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to juggle multiple tasks while assessing and prioritizing those tasks on a continuous basis.
Ability to improvise during opportunities or challenges.
Demonstrated evidence of organizational and administrative skills.
Proven record of meeting deadlines.
Ability to be extremely flexible, self-motivated and driven to achieve desired results.
