GUI Software Engineer

Summary

This role involves developing cross-platform desktop software for a hardware company using C++ and the Qt framework. The engineer will work onsite in Cambridge to build and maintain robust, user-focused graphical interfaces.

Salary: £59,000 - 99,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We require the right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
  • We are looking for strong C++ desktop development experience.
  • We need experience with cross-platform development across Linux, Windows, and macOS.
  • We require experience developing graphical user interfaces (GUI).
  • We are looking for strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and take ownership of issues end to end.
  • Experience with frameworks such as Qt is desirable.
Responsibilities:
  • We build cross-platform desktop software for Linux, Windows, and macOS.
  • We write and review high-quality C/C++ code.
  • We work closely with colleagues across multiple software layers to deliver robust, user-focused applications.
  • We take hands-on ownership of engineering challenges and deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • We work onsite in Cambridge at least four days a week.
