(PolicyCenter, BillingCenter & ClaimCenter)
We are seeking an experienced Guidewire Functional Tester
with strong expertise in PolicyCenter (PC), BillingCenter (BC), and ClaimCenter
(CC) testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating
business-critical insurance applications through functional, regression,
integration, and user acceptance testing while collaborating closely with
business and technical teams in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive functional
test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and product
requirements.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and user
acceptance testing (UAT) to validate application functionality and ensure
system stability.
- Participate actively in requirements elaboration
sessions, sprint planning, release readiness reviews, demos, and other Agile
ceremonies.
- Analyze requirements and identify test scenarios, edge
cases, and potential risks.
- Document, log, track, and manage defects using JIRA or
similar test/defect management tools.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product
owners, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve testing issues.
- Prepare detailed test documentation, test execution
reports, and testing recommendations for stakeholders.
- Coordinate business demonstrations and communicate
testing progress, risks, and defects effectively.
- Escalate critical issues appropriately to ensure timely
resolution.
- Support backend validation and data verification through
SQL-based testing activities.
- Contribute to test automation initiatives by identifying
and automating functional test scenarios.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter (PC),
BillingCenter (BC), and ClaimCenter (CC) testing.
- Proven expertise in functional, regression, and
integration testing methodologies.
- Experience creating and maintaining test plans, test
cases, test scripts, and test execution documentation.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA or similar defect and test
management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the
ability to interpret requirements and identify gaps and edge cases.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with
the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in customer communication, stakeholder
management, and application demos.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, and
testing activities within Agile teams.
- Basic SQL/database testing skills for backend validation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to test automation tools such as Selenium,
Tosca, or similar frameworks.
- Understanding of the insurance domain and Guidewire
business processes.
- Experience with Agile/DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines,
and continuous testing approaches.
- Relevant testing certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or
equivalent.
- This role requires a detail-oriented testing professional
capable of ensuring high-quality software delivery while effectively partnering
with development teams, business stakeholders, and customers throughout the
software development lifecycle.
