Job Summary
We are looking for a Certified Guidewire PolicyCenter Business Analyst with experience in PolicyCenter implementations, state rollouts, configuration, integrations, and production support. The ideal candidate should possess strong functional and technical expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter and be capable of working closely with business stakeholders, offshore delivery teams, and integration partners to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Ability to implement, configure, and provide support for Guidewire PolicyCenter.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior Guidewire associates regarding Guidewire development and support activities.
- Develop and support configuration and integration features based on business requirements.
- Work closely with onsite and offshore teams to understand client business needs, evaluate technical feasibility, and ensure quality delivery.
- Contribute 40%60% of effort towards hands-on development and release activities.
- Coordinate between onsite and offshore teams for production incident resolution.
- Review offshore development work in areas including:
- Rating Configuration
- PCF Configuration
- Business Rules
- Data Model Creation
- Manage and communicate project and team status to onsite management.
- Provide production support for Guidewire PolicyCenter applications.
- Coordinate with development teams to analyze and resolve defects.
- Collaborate with third-party service providers and integration owners to ensure application availability and reliability.
- Conduct performance tuning and application optimization activities.
- Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions and technical workshops.
- Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and governance standards in application design and development.
Technical Skills
- Certified Guidewire PolicyCenter professional with implementation and state rollout experience.
- Hands-on experience in:
- State-specific Forms Configuration
- Rating Configuration
- Business Rules
- Underwriting (UW) Issues
- PCF Changes
- Integrations
- Experience with SQL Server or Oracle databases.
- Experience with third-party platform and application integrations.
- Experience with application servers such as:
- IBM WebSphere
- Apache Tomcat
- JBoss
- J2EE Application Containers
Must Have Skills
- Guidewire PolicyCenter Certification (Associate / Professional / ACE).
- 711 years of hands-on experience working with Guidewire PolicyCenter modules.
- Strong experience in Guidewire Configuration and/or Integration.
- At least one complete end-to-end Guidewire Cloud implementation experience.
- Development experience using Guidewire Gosu.
- Strong understanding of Guidewire APIs, methods, rules, and business processes.
- Experience in state rollouts and production support.
- Knowledge of PolicyCenter Data Model and Configuration Framework.
- Experience in performance tuning and application optimization.
- Strong understanding of Guidewire best practices and implementation methodologies.
Preferred Skills
- Guidewire Cloud Platform experience.
- Exposure to Insurance Policy Administration systems.
- Guidewire Integration Framework expertise.
- Experience with REST/SOAP web service integrations.
- Experience with Guidewire Digital applications.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD practices.
