Teaches gymnastics classes to children aged 2-10, manages participants and facilities, and ensures safety with required certifications.
The Meadowlands Area YMCA is a rapidly growing and progressive Association that is looking for individuals who can positively contribute to our team. Located in Bergen County, New Jersey we are in the shadows of the Meadowlands Sports Complex (home to the NY Giants, NY Jets and the 2014 Super Bowl) and right outside of New York City. It is an exciting time in our 96 year history - our YMCA is developing 83,000 square feet building into our first full facility YMCA.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Meadowlands Area YMCA is seeking qualified individuals who will be responsible for teaching our Gymnastics classes. The Gymnastics Instructor will also be responsible for management of participants and the studio or gymnasium.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 18+ years of age
- CPR, First Aid, AED, and child abuse prevention training within 90 days of hire
- Proven experience teaching at least one specialty topic including but not limited to; Gymnastics, Tumbling, and Cheer leading. Willingness to learn additional areas in Gymnastics.
