Halal cum QC officer

Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Halal Officer to oversee and maintain our company's Halal Management System, ensuring compliance with Halal requirements and relevant regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the company's Halal certification.

• Ensure compliance with MUIS Halal requirements, GMP, HACCP, and food safety regulations.

• Liaise with MUIS, certification bodies, and relevant authorities on Halal-related matters.

• Prepare, maintain, and update Halal documentation, records, and SOPs.

• Conduct internal Halal audits and coordinate external audits.

• Train employees on Halal policies, procedures, and best practices.

• Investigate and resolve Halal non-conformities and implement corrective actions.

• Perform quality control inspections on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products.

• Work closely with Production, QA, QC, and Purchasing teams to ensure Halal compliance throughout the manufacturing process.

• Support other quality assurance and regulatory activities as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a related field.

• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in Halal compliance or food manufacturing.

• Prior experience in Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), or Halal certification within the food, pharmaceutical, or nutraceutical industry is an advantage.

• Knowledge of MUIS Halal Certification requirements.

• Possession of a Halal Competency Assessment (HCA) Certificate is preferred.

• Good communication and documentation skills.

• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
