Job description
We are looking for a motivated production technician to join our production team at the Kingfish Company, location Kats.
The production team is responsible for the growth of our Dutch Yellowtail Kingfish from a baby fish of 0,2 grams to a fish of up to 4 kilograms. The production team consists around 40 ambitious people from different backgrounds, ages, and nationalities.
Together with your colleagues you will be responsible for the following:
· Ensuring that our Dutch Yellowtail Kingfish grows up in an ideal environment
· Cleaning and maintaining our systems and tanks
· Moving the fish throughout the farm
· Harvesting the fish
· Solving minor disturbances

7:00 - 16:00
Location
The Kingfish Company is located at Oost Zeedijk 13 in Kats, right on the shores of the Oosterschelde marine nature reserve.
Job requirements
- You highly motivated and excited to work with our fish
- You have technical insight and don’t mind getting your hands dirty
- You are physically fit and capable of heavy lifting
- You have transport to come to our farm

Production of our fish is based on advanced recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS), which create the ideal growth environment for kingfish, offer optimal biosecurity, and limit the environmental impact. Animal welfare is paramount and our fish are grown without the use of antibiotics and vaccines. Operations run on 100% renewable energy, sourced from wind, solar, and biogas and the company’s facilities operate on seawater to avoid wasting precious fresh water.
