Handyperson
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handyperson to join our maintenance team in Spring Hill, Australia. In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of maintenance tasks, ensuring our facilities are well-maintained and functional. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, efficient, and able to handle diverse maintenance challenges.
- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, and basic electrical work
- Execute high-quality painting work on interior and exterior surfaces
- Conduct routine inspections of buildings and equipment to identify and address maintenance issues
- Prepare surfaces for repairs or improvements, including cleaning, sanding, and priming
- Install and repair fixtures, fittings, and furniture
- Maintain and organize tools and equipment
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
- Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff and contractors as needed
- Assist with grounds maintenance and landscaping tasks when required
- Document completed work and maintain accurate maintenance records
- Proven experience as a handyperson or in a similar maintenance role
- Proficiency in various maintenance techniques, including carpentry, plumbing, and painting
- Basic electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to use hand and power tools effectively and safely
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Knowledge of safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
