Automattic is seeking a customer-focused Happiness Engineer to help create and protect an exceptional customer experience through support and success.
What They're Looking For
- Hands-on experience with WordPress and/or WooCommerce beyond building a few personal websites
- Experience in technical support, customer experience, or customer success, preferably supporting high-volume end users
- Proven initiative and measurable impact beyond routine responsibilities
- Exceptional communication skills and fluent English
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a high-autonomy environment
- Unique expertise in areas such as technical troubleshooting, eCommerce, leadership, or operations
- Strong ability to build trust with technical and non-technical customers
- AI fluency — experience using AI tools, workflows, automations, or other AI-powered solutions to create real value
