About the Assistant Manager Role
You're the right hand to the General Manager, helping keep every part of the restaurant and production facility running smoothly. You'll help build a culture that's fun, supportive, and aligned with our Vision, Values, and Big Five.
We believe that the key ingredient to a rockin' pizza joint is a vibing crew that never compromises on quality food, service, and cleanliness. The AM plays a key role in training, developing, and supporting staff to keep energy high and the business thriving.
In addition to training and developing both the FOH and BOH team, you will help with some product ordering, regular staff reviews, helping run staff meetings, and leading busy shifts. Our AMs think about how we can make improvements, come up with and lead projects to make our pizza, people, or both better!
To make the most of this opportunity, we're looking for someone who:
- Has 2+ years of Shift Lead, Shift Manager, or Assistant Manager experience in the food and beverage or hospitality industry is required. Quick Service Restaurant, or fast casual dining, experience is a plus.
- Has experience running shifts with 5+ team members across departments.
- Has experience training small teams with lots of cross-training between BOH and FOH.

- Able to motivate others to always put in their best effort, and hold all staff accountable to high standards of food quality, customer service, and cleanliness.
- Maintain a good attitude, high levels of awareness, and direct, kind communication, especially in situations that require quick action.
- Is ServSafe Certified OR able to complete the certification in the first 6 months of employment.
- Can stand and walk for long periods. To bend, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs. To use ovens, knives, and other equipment of the business.
- Feels comfortable working and learning in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant where the pace is fast and work may take place in hot kitchens, coolers, or freezers.
- Has reliable transportation to and from the restaurant location for a variety of shift times.
Hours
The Assistant Manager position is an hourly position for 35-40 hours per week. About 30 hours per week will be spent in operations and up to 10 hours per week handling the behind-the-scenes magic like projects, admin tasks, and meetings. Schedules are typically posted three weeks at a time, though timelines may vary based on changing business needs.
The restaurant's hours of operations will be Tuesday-Sunday from 11am-9pm with prep and production shifts running from 7am-5pm. Some typical shift times for this position will be 9am-4/5pm or 2/3pm-10pm.
The action happens on evenings and weekends! We'll need you in the mix for a variety of shift times and days, including primary availability on evenings and weekends. You'll tag-team with the team to support operations, handle emergencies, and jump in when coverage is needed.
