Hardware Engineering Manager

Honeywell IMC is seeking a Senior professional in Hardware Engineering with a strong background in Hardware development for developing the products portfolio. Your responsibilities are

  • Lead a team of hardware engineers, engage hands on in programs from Hardware design perspective and unblock execution barriers
  • A passionate people leader with ability to manage team with clarity, growth mindset and decision
  • Collaborate with Firmware, Mechanical and Software engineers, have a system level understanding and ownership
  • Have a strong foundation of managing engineering support for factories and suppliers. Well versed with the engineering processes.
  • Ensuring that the high level requirements are consistent and complete, before embarking on project executions
  • Demonstrate high level of ownership when it comes to protecting the bussiness impact through managing obsolescence , resolving factory stop ships and addressing certification needs. Lead the best practices to manage the hardware systems affected by component outages, field issues and impact from new integrations.
  • Ensuring robust quality is built into the design and aligned with the supply chain through solid DFX practices
  • Drive innovation and growth mindset in the team
  • Should be able represent the team and its work at a executive level
  • Willingness to lead a critical program/product ownership along with managing team of Hardware engineers.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • 15+ years product development with a focus on Hardware Engineering
  • Exposure to Firmware implementation, liaison at system level
  • Experience in getting the products certified for compliance with certification bodies e.g. UL, CSA etc.
  • Strong knowledge of process instruments, controllers and Communication protocols
  • Knowledge in the field of process industry

Required Skills:

  • Good executive presence, Ability to present updates to Sr. Leadership
  • Excellent teamwork in a dynamic project environment
  • Solid experience in hands on Hardware engineering skillsets such as design, schematic and layout
  • Expertise in analog and digital hardware (Sensors integration, power supply, filters, controllers, knowledge in resolving EMC issues.
  • Experience in WIFI, Bluetooth, Profinet preferred.
  • Excellent English (fluent in spoken and written).
  • Programming C, assembler, advantageous C++ and other languages is preferred. Exposed to development environments e.g STM
