Hardware Engineer – Senior / Mid / Junior
Country: PolandLocation: Gdańsk (Hybrid)Contract Type: Full Time, UoPDepartment: R&D / Engineering
About the Role
Aritech has been a trusted name in the security industry for decades, with a portfolio recognized for reliability, innovation and performance.
We are growing our Hardware Engineering team in Gdańsk and are looking for Hardware Engineers at different stages of their careers — with a primary focus on Mid-Level and Senior Engineers, while also welcoming applications from talented Junior Engineers with strong technical foundations and a genuine interest in electronics and embedded hardware.
In this role, you will contribute to the development, improvement and long-term sustainability of electronic intrusion security products, including burglary and hold-up alarm systems.
The role combines new hardware development with sustaining engineering and Value Engineering activities. You will have the opportunity to work on real products throughout their lifecycle — from design and prototyping through testing, qualification and production, as well as troubleshooting and continuous improvement of released products.
Depending on your experience level, you may take ownership of hardware designs and technical solutions, contribute to design reviews and Value Engineering initiatives, or work alongside experienced engineers while developing your practical hardware engineering skills.
You will collaborate closely with Firmware Engineering, Product Management, Quality, Compliance, Manufacturing and international R&D teams, as well as external electrical and mechanical design partners.
As a Hardware Engineer, you will:

Contribute to defining features and functionality of electronic intrusion security products.
Design and develop electronic hardware, including schematics and PCB layouts.
Support both new product development and sustaining engineering activities.
Participate in Value Engineering (VE) initiatives focused on cost optimization, component availability, quality and product reliability.
Analyze existing designs and propose alternative technical and component solutions.
Select electronic components and manage alternatives related to EOL, PCN and supply risks.
Perform electronic circuit simulations and design analysis.
Bring up and debug newly designed hardware.
Perform hands-on measurements and troubleshooting using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators and spectrum analyzers.
Execute prototype testing and preliminary verification activities.
Define and verify qualification and validation test plans.
Analyze hardware failures and perform root cause analysis.
Troubleshoot issues identified in released and mass-produced products.
Support manufacturing during production ramp-up and implementation of engineering changes.
Participate in technical and design reviews.
Prepare, maintain and update technical and project documentation.
Collaborate with Firmware Engineering on hardware-software integration.
Work with Quality, Product Management, Manufacturing and other functions throughout the product lifecycle.
Cooperate with external electrical and mechanical design suppliers.
Contribute to continuous improvement of products, engineering processes and development practices.

For Junior Engineers, responsibilities will be appropriately tailored to experience level and may include supporting defined hardware development tasks, preparing and updating documentation, assisting with testing and measurements, supporting debugging activities and gradually taking ownership of more complex design tasks under the guidance of experienced engineers.
What We Are Looking For
For Mid-Level and Senior Engineers

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
Professional experience in electronic hardware design, ideally in product development and/or mixed-signal (analog/digital) electronics.
Experience designing and analyzing electronic circuits.
Practical experience with schematics and PCB design.
Strong hands-on skills in electronic measurements, debugging and troubleshooting.
Ability to independently analyze designs, identify issues and propose robust, production-ready solutions.
Understanding of component selection, availability risks and product lifecycle considerations.
Experience working with prototypes and supporting hardware through testing and production.
Good spoken and written English.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Proactive attitude and ability to take ownership of technical tasks.
Ability to collaborate effectively with international and cross-functional teams.

For Junior Engineers
We are also open to candidates at the beginning of their hardware engineering careers who demonstrate strong technical foundations, curiosity and motivation to develop in electronic product design.
For Junior candidates, we are looking for:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field, or currently completing a relevant degree.
Basic understanding of analog and digital electronics.
Academic, internship or personal-project experience with electronic circuits, microcontrollers or embedded hardware is desirable.
Basic ability to read and understand electronic schematics.
Interest in hardware design, testing and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with laboratory measurement equipment is a plus.
Willingness to learn and develop practical hardware engineering skills under the guidance of experienced engineers.
Good spoken and written English.
Proactive attitude, analytical thinking and ability to work collaboratively.

Nice to Have

Experience designing hardware for intrusion, security or other safety-critical systems.
Experience with mixed-signal electronic design.
Experience with microcontrollers and embedded systems.
Knowledge of EDA tools such as Altium Designer, CADSTAR or PADS.
Experience with Value Engineering and/or sustaining engineering.
Familiarity with component lifecycle management, including EOL, PCN and supply-risk management.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and cooperation with production/factory teams.
Experience supporting products through qualification, certification and mass production.
Experience with Atlassian tools, particularly Jira and Confluence.
Experience working with internationally distributed R&D and manufacturing teams.

What We Offer

Stable employment in a mature international engineering environment.
Opportunities for career growth and professional development.
The opportunity to work on modern intrusion security systems with real-world impact.
Real influence on product cost, quality, reliability and long-term sustainability.
Collaboration with experienced engineers and international R&D and manufacturing teams.
Opportunities for expert-level growth in hardware development, sustaining engineering and Value Engineering.
A culture that encourages independence, creativity and continuous learning.
Competitive salary and benefits package, including:

Meal Vouchers
LuxMed Medical Insurance
MultiSport Card
IKE/IKZE Additional Pension Contribution

Individuals may also be eligible for an annual performance bonus based on both individual and company performance.
