For our automotive client located in Sweden, we are seeking an experienced HiL Development Engineer to design, develop, and evolve advanced HIL platforms for embedded automotive systems. This role is focused on developing and enabling HIL capabilities (MATLAB, dSpace), rather than test execution.

Responsibilities

  • You will join a team of developers who will define, set up and configure these HIL test environments. You will be working with Matlab, Simulink and dSPACE tools, to enable test automation and deployment supporting CI/CD pipelines.

SKILLS

Must have

  • - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Physics,, Software Engineering, or a related technical field - Hands on automotive project experience as a HIL Developer (not only as a HIL user or tester). - Strong experience in MATLAB/Simulink model development for real‑time simulation. - Experience with HIL development tools, such as: controlDesk, ConfigurationDesk, ModelDesk, Bus Manager, Aurelion or other HIL development tools. - Understanding of embedded systems, real‑time constraints, and system integration. - Knowledge in automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet) Personal Profile - Strong can-do attitude - Comfortable working with complex hardware‑software integrated systems - Proactive, structured, and quality‑driven - Collaborative mindset with a passion for learning.

Nice to have

- Experience with automation frameworks and integrating them into CI/CD environments. - Background in one or more automotive domains: Vehicle dynamics Electric or hybrid vehicle systems, Active safety systems, Autonomous or driver assistance systems, vehicle motion control, Protective or functional safety systems - Python - Driver's license
