We close that gap. We deploy robots into real workplaces and pilot them remotely, so they do valuable work from day one; as the models improve, our operators move from driving individual robots to supervising several at once. That runs on the Robot Stack, our operational software platform, which abstracts away the underlying robot, the operator interface and the level of autonomy — so every deployment strengthens the same foundation.
We're a small Singapore team, founded by a repeat founder who previously built a robot foundation model company and an investor and venture builder from Temasek's deep tech team. We work across Galaxea, YOR and AgileX robots, with deployments in retail and electronics.
We don't think teleoperation is the alternative to autonomy. We think it's the path to autonomy.
What you'll work on
We can put a robot into a customer site and make it work. This role owns the physical robot from first bench bring-up through a reliable deployment. You'll work alongside the founders, moving between hardware on the bench and customer sites. What you may be involved in:
• Bring new robots onto the Robot Stack: drivers, kinematics, controllers, grippers and sensors, with consistent interfaces to the software above.
• Integrate and debug robot hardware using ROS/ROS 2, CAN, USB/serial and real-time control.
• Set up, calibrate and test robot subsystems, tracing faults across the physical system and its hardware interfaces.
• Improve deployment reliability through monitoring, logging and recovery procedures for field hardware.
• Work on site to bring robots up, reproduce faults and restore systems under real operating conditions.
Six months in, success looks like new robots coming onto the stack without drama, hardware faults being diagnosed quickly, and deployment teams having repeatable setup, calibration and recovery procedures.
What we're looking for
• Strong software fundamentals. Python day to day, and comfort dropping into C++ where it matters.
• You've made real hardware actually work. ROS/ROS 2, CAN, USB/serial, real-time control — whatever it took. What you've made move matters more to us than the frameworks you list.
• Practical experience with drivers, controllers, kinematics, grippers, sensors, calibration and testing.
• The ability to hold a whole physical system in your head and methodically isolate faults across its components and interfaces.
• Willingness to do whatever a deployment needs, with the instinct to push back when work is low-leverage.
• Respect for the operational side. Customer sites are where you find out whether the engineering was any good.
• Comfort with ambiguity, onsite work, and being the person who owns the answer.
Useful but not required: hardware-in-the-loop testing, reliability work, and experience shipping robots into a live commercial environment.
