The Hardware Validation Technician will work onsite in a manufacturing environment to assemble products, operate production equipment, and support engineers in testing and validating new processes. Your Impact
As a Manufacturing Technician, you will help build and deliver the products that support Axon’s mission to Protect Life. You will work directly with production equipment, materials, and cross-functional partners to ensure products are assembled accurately, safely, and efficiently. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with opportunities to support process improvements, equipment development, and new product and process introductions.
What You’ll Do
Location: Onsite at our Phoenix, AZ facility 5 days a week
Reports to: Senior Director, Product Integrity

- Adhere to all applicable health, safety, environmental, quality, and manufacturing procedures while maintaining a safe and organized work area.
- Set up, inspect, operate, and verify the functionality of production equipment in accordance with approved work instructions and current Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Assemble products, components, and subassemblies using hand tools, production equipment, fixtures, and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor production output, equipment performance, and process conditions; identify, document, and escalate issues that may impact safety, quality, delivery, or productivity.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and support minor equipment adjustments, maintenance activities, and changeovers as directed.
- Evaluate equipment, materials, and production processes and provide feedback to supervisors, engineers, and operations partners on opportunities for improvement.
- Support engineers in the development, testing, and validation of new products, manufacturing processes, equipment, and work instructions.
- Maintain accurate production, quality, and equipment records in accordance with company procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, cost, delivery, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate effectively with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and other team members to meet production goals and resolve operational issues.
What You Bring
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing, production, assembly, warehouse, or operations environment preferred.
- Working knowledge of production processes, quality requirements, basic hand tools, materials, and standard manufacturing practices.
- Ability to safely operate or learn to operate production equipment and perform detailed assembly work using both hands.
- Ability to read and follow written work instructions, procedures, drawings, labels, and safety requirements.
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to use computer hardware, software applications, and production or data-entry systems.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment while demonstrating Axon’s values of being obsessed, winning right, aiming far, and joining forces.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and a hard hat, as required.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls throughout the workday.
