Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

Maintain inventory control, sustainment, replenishment and issue of hazardous material (HAZMAT) line items.
Ensures all hazardous materials are properly ordered, issued, receipted, and managed in strict compliance with applicable environmental laws, DoD instructions, and naval regulations.
Provide customer service support for the HAZMAT program to include activities such as fulfilling customer requests, stowage and compatibility considerations, provide necessary documentation to support procurement, and all disposal/disposition of HAZMAT activities.
Research and gathers all Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in support of HAZMAT program.
Maintain and inspect all HAZMAT spaces and keep them within Navy standards for inspections. Delivers comprehensive logistics support during Group and Echelon-level Logistics Management Assessments and Inspections (LMA/LMI).
Responsible for the accurate entry and management of all received HAZMAT within the Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS) to facilitate seamless inventory control and issuance.
Oversees and enforces the proper disposal of hazardous material and waste across commands, guaranteeing adherence to local, state, and federal environmental guidelines.
