The Opportunity

Sands Fridge Lines is seeking an experienced and motivated HC Driver / Team Leader to join our Midwest Operations based in Geraldton.

This is a hands-on leadership position that combines professional driving responsibilities with the day-to-day coordination of our Geraldton depot operations. You will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of freight throughout Geraldton and the wider Midwest region while providing leadership and support to a small local team.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Regional Operations Team, your duties will include:

• Safe and professional delivery of freight throughout Geraldton and surrounding regional areas
• Acting as the primary point of contact for the Geraldton depot
• Providing leadership and support to a small local team
• Coordinating daily transport and depot activities
• Monitoring and recording product temperatures in accordance with company and customer requirements
• Ensuring all delivery documentation and transport paperwork is accurately completed
• Operating electric and manual pallet jacks
• Performing customer deliveries, including hand unloads where required
• Reading and interpreting load plans, manifests, run sheets, and job documentation
• Maintaining a strong focus on customer service and operational efficiency
• Promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• A current and valid HC Driver's Licence
• Previous experience operating HC vehicles in a transport or distribution environment
• Demonstrated leadership experience or the ability to lead and support a small team
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• The ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions
• A commitment to workplace safety and compliance
• Experience with freight handling and load restraint practices
• A strong customer service focus and professional attitude

Desirable but not essential:

• Current WorkSafe High Risk LF Forklift Licence
• Experience within refrigerated transport, FMCG, or food distribution operations
