Head Media Relations

Job Purpose

Enable the achievement of Renaissance's business objectives through effective media engagement, brand positioning, and communications strategies that reflect the company's independent accountability and evolving scope of operations.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree in mass communication, Journalism, Media Studies, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or a related field

A minimum of 14 years' experience with a deep understanding of the Nigerian political and media landscape, with awareness of regional dynamics.

The successful candidate should have

• Proven experience as a journalist or in corporate communications within complex organisations.
• Extensive frontline experience handling media enquiries on sensitive or controversial issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to craft compelling narratives.
• Strong networks within the media industry.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience in issues management and crisis communications.
• High personal integrity and resilience.
• Membership of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) is required.
