Job Summary
The Accounting Sr. Manager is responsible for overseeing accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and managing a team of accounting professionals. This role supports strategic financial planning and ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This job profile is intended for People Managers of 4+ experienced to senior expert-level employees.

The Country/Cluster Finance Head is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations in the country or regional cluster of countries, managing key elements of financial planning, closing and reporting processes for the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows and statutory reporting of the specific country / country cluster. The Country Finance Head drives process improvements and supports strategic financial initiatives to enhance the Sulzer’s overall financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the Sulzer Accounting Manual (SAM), IFRS, local statutory requirements, and tax regulations.
• Oversee month-end, year-end, and statutory reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Lead internal and external audits and maintain a strong internal control environment.
• Ensure timely filing of statutory financial statements and tax submissions.
• Drive compliance with Internal Controls (ICS), Delegation of Authority (DoA), and intercompany transaction policies.
• Partner with Finance Shared Services and Centres of Excellence to improve and standardize finance processes.
• Oversee treasury and tax compliance in line with Group and local requirements.
• Lead, develop, and coach the local finance and accounting team.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial initiatives through effective business partnering.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• CA(SA), CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
• 7-9 years of progressive leadership experience in Finance or Accounting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, statutory reporting, audit, tax, and financial controls.
• Experience within manufacturing, engineering, or industrial sectors preferred.
• Proven experience leading accounting teams and managing multiple stakeholders.
• Strong ERP systems knowledge, financial analysis, and Microsoft Office skills.
