Head of Brands & Relationships (Group-Level)
ROLE PURPOSE
The Head of Brands & Relationships is the steward of how the Group is seen, trusted, and related to by the world.
This role exists to protect, grow, and align the Group’s brands and relationships across its multiple expressions—education, health, play, and systems reform—while remaining anchored to a single, shared mission: a better life for children and a nation that treasures the seeds of its human capital.
The role is strategic, advisory, and custodial in nature. It ensures that as the Group grows in scale, influence, and complexity, it does so with coherence, integrity, and relational depth.
POSITION IN THE GROUP
Reports to: Founder / Group Leadership
Works closely with: Heads of Programs, Head of People & Talent, Head of Business Support & Development
Oversees: Brand and relationships personnel embedded within each organization
CORE MANDATE
The Head of Brands & Relationships is accountable for:
Brand Stewardship – ensuring clarity, consistency, and strength across all Group brands
Relational Capital – cultivating trust-based relationships with key external stakeholders
Reputation & Narrative Leadership – protecting institutional credibility and shaping public understanding of the Group’s work
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Group Brand Stewardship (Visibility, Value & Coherence)
Serve as custodian of the Group’s brand architecture
Ensure all brands express a shared mission while retaining distinct identities
Maintain brand principles, tone of voice, and narrative positioning
Guard against brand dilution as the Group scales
Reputation, Trust & Public Positioning
Steward the Group’s reputation across all external touchpoints
Anticipate and manage reputational risks
Advise leadership on public statements and sensitive communications
Relationship Stewardship
Cultivate long-term, trust-based relationships with stakeholders
Establish principles guiding partnerships and public affiliations
Strategic Communications & Narrative Leadership
Set strategic direction for Group communications
Champion ethical storytelling and crisis preparedness
Leadership of Brand & Communications Personnel
Provide oversight and shared standards across teams
Build capacity and prevent silos
Advisory Role to Leadership
Advise on external perception, alliances, and risks
Offer judgment on opportunities to pursue or decline
