Job description:
Business Partner
• Define and drive the country Controlling strategy, including plans, targets, budgets and governance aligned with business objectives, Group guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate strategic decision-making and management reviews by providing financial transparency and business insights.
• Influence wider financial strategy and advise top management on business performance, profitability, risks and future opportunities.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities, provide early warning signals and recommend mitigation actions.
• Present financial findings and recommendations to the executive management team, including business performance, profitability and key risk developments.
Analysis and Performance Measurement
• Measure and monitor performance of all functions through KPI frameworks, standard reports and management dashboards.
• Oversee reporting processes, data collection and KPI definition, including ESG-related reporting where applicable.
• Analyze complex business and financial issues and provide actionable recommendations to improve performance and operational effectiveness.
• Drive continuous improvement, innovation and digitalization of controlling methodologies, systems and reporting processes.
• Monitor target achievement across direct and indirect functions and highlight performance gaps.
Planning and Forecasting
• Lead the overall planning, budgeting, forecasting and mid-term planning processes for the country.
• Support the Country CEO in target setting and strategic planning processes.
• Actively support cross-functional alignment, particularly demand and supply planning activities.
• Ensure planning assumptions, forecasts and financial targets are aligned with country strategy and business objectives.
Initiation and monitoring of actions
• Facilitate preparation, implementation and monitoring of action plans to achieve business and financial objectives.
• Lead critical controlling initiatives and cross-functional projects with significant impact on business performance.
• Continuously track action plans and escalate issues or corrective measures to CFO/Regional Management when required.
• Influence stakeholders and drive alignment across functions to ensure successful implementation of initiatives and change programs.
• Deliver innovations and process enhancements that improve business operations and profitability.
Business Case support
• Lead preparation and evaluation of business cases, investment proposals and strategic initiatives.
• Monitor implementation and realization of approved business cases, including timeline, cost and benefit achievement.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support key business decisions and investments.
Liaise with Working Capital Management (WCM)
• Ensure alignment with WCM to maintain a complete view of the country's financial position and cash performance.
• Support management of financial assets and working capital through effective controlling processes and governance.
• Ensure accurate financial and non-financial reporting to support cash flow and balance sheet management.
Leads and supervises the Country Business Controlling Team
• Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of controlling systems, tools, policies and processes.
• Set direction and ensure adherence to accounting policies, standards, regulations and internal controls.
• Allocate resources and responsibilities across the Country Business Controlling Team.
• Supervise controlling activities and ensure delivery of high-quality financial analysis, reporting and planning outputs.
• Assess and develop team performance, capabilities and succession readiness.
• Drive collaboration across business areas and ensure controlling support is aligned with regional and country objectives.
Job requirement:
• Bachelor’s degree & above with focus on Finance or equivalent qualification
• 5-10 years working experience in Controlling
• Knowledge of logistic industry preferable
• Very good analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
• Proactive and able to work under pressure
• Assertive, persistent and able to challenge
• Good presentation and communication skills
• Able to influence, negotiate and resolve conflicts
• Team player with good leadership skills
• Fluent in English
• Proficiency in local language preferred
