Head of Compliance

Own the compliance function for a global, non-custodial financial infrastructure business spanning crypto and fiat rails.

Responsibilities

• Build and own the compliance function
• Own sanctions screening standards, escalation, decisioning, recordkeeping, and reporting
• Develop policies, procedures, and risk assessments
• Select and manage blockchain analytics and screening vendors
• Embed compliance controls into product and engineering design
• Direct outside compliance advisors
• Expand ownership to the full fiat and crypto compliance program

Requirements

• Eight or more years of compliance experience
• Meaningful experience at a crypto or DeFi company, digital asset exchange, or financial institution with a serious digital assets practice
• Working command of OFAC sanctions requirements applied to on-chain activity
• Direct experience with non-custodial or self-custody product architectures
• Fluency with blockchain analytics tooling and on-chain investigation
• Ability to write and defend compliance standards
• Excellent written communication
• Comfort serving as the first and only compliance hire
