About Repurpose It

Repurpose It is a recognised leader in the circular economy, giving new life to materials that would otherwise go to waste. We recover resources from construction and demolition, excavation, infrastructure projects and local council organics, transforming them into valuable products that support a more sustainable future.

Our values of Integrity, Future Focused, Sustainability, and Care & Protect guide everything we do. As part of our team, you’ll join a workplace focused on innovation, sustainability and supporting its people.

About the role

Reporting to the Chief Technology & Transformation Officer, the Head of Data & Digital Transformation will lead enterprise-wide business process optimisation, data enablement and the development of mature digital transformation concepts. The role is designed to ensure initiatives enter formal project delivery with the problem, process, requirements, solution concept, benefits, risks and dependencies already well defined.

You will lead discovery, process optimisation, architecture, concept development and prototyping, using modern data, automation, AI and agentic approaches to improve the maturity and quality of solutions before implementation. A critical relationship will be the partnership with the GM Technology Project Delivery, maintaining close alignment on priorities, sequencing, solution approaches and delivery expectations.

A flagship focus is GENIE, Repurpose It’s enterprise intelligence and governance framework, which brings together strategy, operational performance, projects, business processes, governance, risk and compliance into a single ecosystem. The successful candidate will play a major role in completing and maturing the framework, including exploring how modern AI, agentic workflows and enterprise intelligence can strengthen its future design.

  • High visibility across business operations, technology and executive leadership.
  • The opportunity to work at the intersection of process optimisation, data, architecture, automation and AI.
  • Meaningful work within a growing circular economy business focused on creating a more sustainable future.

Key responsibilities

  • Establish an enterprise business process framework and lead process discovery, mapping, optimisation and governance across operational and corporate functions.
  • Build a prioritised pipeline of mature transformation initiatives, including validated requirements, future-state processes, solution concepts, benefits, risks and dependencies before handover to project delivery.
  • Lead enterprise and solution architecture across data platforms, integrations, analytics, automation and AI, ensuring solutions align with business priorities, security and technology standards.
  • Develop Repurpose It’s enterprise data ecosystem, including data lake expansion, Power BI reporting, data quality, integration architecture and the use of operational, IoT, OT and telematics data.
  • Advance AI-enabled transformation, including AI-supported decision making, agentic workflows and proof-of-concepts, while leading the ongoing development and maturation of GENIE.

About you

  • Extensive experience leading data, technology and digital transformation initiatives across complex organisations.
  • Strong capability in business process discovery, optimisation, requirements definition and turning business problems into well-defined, delivery-ready concepts.
  • Experience across enterprise or solution architecture, systems integration, data platforms, analytics, automation and AI enablement.
  • A collaborative leader who can influence executives, operational leaders, process owners and technology teams, and work closely with a project delivery function.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Data Analytics or a related field; process improvement, Lean, Six Sigma or business process management credentials are advantageous.
