Senior leadership role at THG in Manchester: you set the strategy and roadmap for data engineering, governance and reporting across the PLC's Beauty and Nutrition businesses, building a scalable GCP/BigQuery platform, driving a single source of truth, and leading a cross-functional team to raise data literacy.
As Head of Engineering & Governance, you shape THG’s data layer beyond the foundation, directing engineering, governance and reporting to enable trusted, actionable analytics across Beauty and Nutrition. You will partner with Ingenuity to specify standards and drive a single source of truth, unlocking value from data for business leaders, data scientists and analysts. This greenfield opportunity emphasizes building governance, scalable data platforms and consistent reporting at PLC level. You’ll lead a cross-functional team to raise data literacy and enable data-driven decisions.

- Set strategic vision and roadmap for data engineering, governance and reporting across THG PLC
- Define structure and availability of data domains (Customer, Commercial, Operations) for analytics and AI
- Own Engagment with Ingenuity on platform and data matters; translate PLC needs into roadmap
- Evaluate use of Ingen vs external tooling with documented commercial decisions
- Drive towards a single source of truth by reducing silos and improving data mastering
- 8+ years in data engineering, platform or leadership roles
- 3+ years in senior/head-of level roles
- Deep hands-on experience with GCP and BigQuery; built and scaled data platforms
- Experience across multiple data domains (Customer, Commercial, Operations)
- Proven track record evolving data architecture for ingestion, storage and consumption
- Strong understanding of data governance (quality, metadata, lineage)
- Experience with technology partners/platform teams similar to Ingenuity
- Demonstrated use of AI in data engineering contexts; automation and AI-assisted pipelines
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management at director/C-suite level
