Head of Data Science

Salary: £105,000 - £115,000
Location: London | Hybrid

Data Idols are working with a high-growth technology business looking for a Head of Data Science to lead and develop its data science capabilities.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious organisation at a key stage of growth, where data plays an important role across product development, commercial performance and strategic decision-making.

The Opportunity

As Head of Data Science, you will shape the data science strategy and roadmap, lead a small high-performing team and work closely with senior stakeholders to identify where data can have the greatest impact.

This is a strategic but hands-on role, with a strong focus on data science, experimentation and measurement. You will develop and improve predictive and statistical data models, helping the business better understand performance, user behaviour and opportunities for growth.

You'll also work closely with data engineering and analytics to strengthen the organisation's data foundations, while exploring how AI, machine learning and automation can improve products and processes.

Skills and Experience

Strong data science experience with leadership or management responsibility
Hands-on experience developing predictive, statistical or machine learning models
Strong knowledge of experimentation and measurement
Technical experience with Python and SQL
Experience using data science to influence product and business decisions
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
