Head of Demand Generation
Demand generation is breaking in an interesting way right now. The playbooks that worked for the last five years are producing diminishing returns. AI Overviews are taking over organic traffic. Companies are making decisions in peer communities and ChatGPT before they ever find your website. And most demand gen teams are still optimising for what they can measure rather than building where it actually matters.
The right answer isn't to throw the playbook out. It's to know which parts still work, build the new motions alongside them, and hold yourself accountable to one thing: pipeline.
That's the kind of thinking we're looking for.
At Simployer, we build technology that finally allows HR to spend less time on admin and more time on people. We serve 12,000 customers and 1.2 million users across Norway and Sweden using embedded expertise and agentic AI to sort the admin, so HR teams can focus on what actually matters. We're entering an ambitious phase: market-leading positioning, a refreshed brand, and growing commercial targets.
Now we're looking for someone who gets energised by questions like:
How do you build pipeline in a market where you have almost no organic presence and brand recognition is low?
What would it look like to get cited in AI search answers rather than just ranked on Google?
What does it look like to coach a team, stay hands-on, and still drive the right amount of high-quality pipeline?
Your mission
Your job is pipeline. You'll build and run a multi-channel demand engine: paid media across LinkedIn, Meta, Google, and YouTube; SEO and AEO built for the AI era; organic content that compounds; and email that converts. You'll manage a real budget with discipline, tracking CAC across every channel, pivoting fast when something stops working, and scaling what earns it.
You'll also build presence where it’s harder to measure like peer communities, LinkedIn conversations, thought leadership that gets amplified. Hard to attribute. Essential anyway.
You'll lead a team of three, two content managers + a paid social consultant; and partner closely with our Martech & Ops Specialist, who owns the stack and automation. You'll run a genuine test-and-learn rhythm: experiments shipped regularly, learnings documented, winning motions scaled. No running the same campaign twice and hoping harder.
You will thrive here if…
You've owned a pipeline number, not managed campaigns, owned a number and you can talk about it specifically, including what didn't work
You have a real opinion on what paid formats actually work in B2B SaaS right now and what to bet on in the future
You've thought seriously about AEO and how AI search has changed top-of-funnel and you've acted on it, not just read about it
You're a coach: you can set direction, develop your team, and still get into the work when it matters
You ship experiments quickly and treat failure as data, not something to avoid
You build trust across Sales, Brand, and Ops
What you bring:
We're not big on twenty bullet checklists, and if this role sounds like the challenge you've been looking for, we'd like to hear from you.
What matters: B2B demand generation and experience owning real budget. Deep paid media fluency across LinkedIn, Meta, and Google. Fluency in English and based in Oslo, or willing to relocate.
You don't need to have done everything on the list. But you need to have owned a pipeline number and built something that worked in a market where it wasn't already easy.
Message from the hiring manager:
We’ve got a solid customer base, agentic-first product, human brand, passionate team, big ambitions, and a marketing strategy rooted in reality. Come build with me!
